AffiPCR® MycoDetect Kit
The AffiPCR® MycoDetect Kit enables fast, ultra-sensitive detection of Mycoplasma and Acholeplasma species directly from cell culture supernatants using quantitative PCR (qPCR). Designed for high specificity and accuracy, this assay detects as few as 10 copies of mycoplasma DNA, making it ideal for routine screening and contamination control in research and bioproduction environments.
Key Features
- High Sensitivity – Detects ≥10 copies of mycoplasma DNA
- Fast Workflow – Results in under 2 hours
- qPCR-based Quantification – Objective Ct value interpretation
- No DNA Extraction Required – Direct amplification from diluted culture media
- Broad Compatibility – Suitable for a wide range of cell types and qPCR instruments
- Validated Controls – Includes positive control and no-template control (NTC)
Applications
- Routine mycoplasma contamination screening
- Cell line authentication and quality assurance
- Bioproduction, biopharma, and R&D
