AffiBEADS® Streptavidin Magnetic Beads Protocol
Prepare Beads:
- Reconstitute the beads in ultrapure water to 1 mg/mL.
 - Wash the beads three times.
 
Bind Proteins:
- Dilute the biotinylated protein or antibodies with Assay Buffer.
 - Add to the beads and incubate for 60 minutes at room temperature on a rotary mixer.
 
Final Wash:
- Wash the beads four times.
 - Add Assay Buffer to the beads for the next experiment.
 
Note:
Streptavidin has an extremely high affinity for biotin, making the binding nearly irreversible. These beads are pre-coupled with Streptavidin and blocked with BSA, ready for immediate use.
