AffiAB® Anti-dsRNA Monoclonal Antibody K2 (IgM)
Description
AffiAB® Anti-dsRNA Monoclonal Antibody K2 is a mouse-derived IgM antibody that specifically recognizes double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) structures of ≥40 base pairs. Sequence and nucleotide composition of the dsRNA do not affect binding, and the antibody reliably detects a wide range of natural and synthetic dsRNAs, including poly(I)-poly(C) and poly(A)-poly(U). K2 is highly recommended for use in (sandwich) ELISA formats and serves as an isotype alternative to J2 and K1 antibodies, particularly useful in multiplex detection strategies.
Formulation
- Form: Undiluted hybridoma cell culture supernatant
 - Concentration: Not specified (use as supplied)
 - Volume: ≤2 mL (centrifuge briefly before opening)

Applications
- Sandwich ELISA (recommended dilution 1:2 in PBS)
 - Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
 - Dot blot

Specificity
- Recognizes dsRNA helices ≥40 bp
 - Sequence- and nucleotide composition-independent
 - Validated against ~40–50 naturally occurring dsRNAs
 - Binds synthetic dsRNAs (poly(I):poly(C), poly(A):poly(U))
 - High avidity binding as demonstrated in Schönborn et al., 1991
