AffiPCR® Andes Hantavirus Real-Time PCR Kit
What is Andes Virus?
Andes Virus (ANDV) is an RNA virus that causes hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS), a life-threatening condition with high mortality rates. Notably, Andes Virus is the only known hantavirus that can be transmitted from person to person. The clinical manifestations include fever, chills, muscle pain (especially in the thighs and back), headache, nausea, and vomiting. In severe cases, the disease can progress rapidly to respiratory distress, dry cough, shortness of breath, pulmonary edema, and, potentially, respiratory failure and shock.
Why Choose the AffiPCR® Andes Hantavirus Real-Time PCR Kit?
