what is Mycobacterium tuberculosis ?
Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs, but TB bacteria can attack any part of the body such as the kidney, spine, and brain. Not everyone infected with TB bacteria becomes sick. As a result, two TB-related conditions exist: latent TB infection (LTBI) and TB disease. If not treated properly, TB disease can be fatal.

Test Procedures :
Whole blood : Start from Step 1
- Add 3 drops of whole blood diluent into the test tube
- Add 1 drop of whole blood into the test tube and wait for 1 minutes to mix it
- Plasma or serum : Start from Step Add 1 drop of the mixed sample and wait for another 1 minute Add 3 drops of developing buffer
Interpretation :
Negative: Dark Control Line (C) and No Test Line (T)
Positive: Dark Control Line (C) and Dark Test Line (T)
Invalid: No Control Line (C) and No Test Line (T)
Invalid: No Control Line (C) and Dark Test Line (T)
